Scan of a Ring
I was doing a little experiment and scanned one of my rings. I think it came out pretty neat :-)

Wax carving
Besides fabricating jewelry from metal there is also a technique called lost wax casting. First a wax model has to be carved. I still do it traditionally by hand. After that the model gets invested and burnt out in a kiln. The negative space will then be filled in with precious metal.
